F&I Compliance

Compliance and profit are not opposites.

Dealers lose money on messy process, not on following the rules. We train F&I teams to sell clean and still grow PVR.

Talk with Kairos
F&I desk prepared for compliant dealership work

What we train

Compliance that lives on the desk.

The process, not a binder

Red Flags Rule, Reg Z/B, and disclosure built into the menu flow, not a manual nobody opens.

Deals that hold up

Cleaner jackets, fewer chargebacks, a process you can defend.

Managers who can teach it

The desk has to run the same way on a Saturday with a green manager as it does with your best one.

What we cover

The rules, built into the menu.

  • Red Flags Rule: identity checks that happen on every deal, not just the ones that feel off.
  • Reg Z and Reg B: rate, payment, and credit disclosures presented the same way to every customer.
  • Product disclosure: every product shown, priced, and explained on the menu, and every "no" respected.
  • The deal jacket: what has to be in it, signed, and dated before the deal funds.

How the training works

Start with the jackets, end on the desk.

We start by pulling a sample of recent deal jackets and sitting in on live deliveries. That shows where the process actually breaks, which is rarely where the binder says it does. Then we rebuild the menu presentation so the compliant steps are built into the flow, and coach each F&I manager on the desk until they can run it without us. After that, we spot-check jackets on a regular schedule so the process doesn't drift on a busy weekend.

Common questions

Is this legal advice?

No. We train people and process. For legal questions, your dealer attorney or compliance counsel is the right call.

Will compliance slow the desk down?

A clean process is usually faster. Most of the time lost in F&I comes from rework, missing signatures, and deals coming back from the lender.

Who is this for?

Franchise and independent auto dealers, and motorsports dealers, with one F&I desk or a dozen.

What this is not

We are not a law firm. We train the people and the process on the desk, and we set up the products and reinsurance behind it.

In the store

How it shows up in the store.

The scoreboard is the deal jacket and the financial statement.

  • Faster, cleaner deal flow
  • Compliant, defensible presentations
  • Higher PVR with lower chargebacks
  • F&I managers who can repeat the process
